Aged 18 or over for a sole account. Under-18s must hold the account jointly with an individual over the age of 18
Non-residents must be able to demonstrate their relationship to Bermuda, such as property or employment
Withdrawals prior to maturity will be subject to penalties

Fixed maturity from 3 months to 1 year
Available in BMD, USD, GBP, CAD, AUD and NZD
Interest is paid on maturity for all deposits up to one year

Long term deposits

Fixed maturity of 2, 3, 4 and 5 years

Standard Interest - automatically given to the account on opening, is calculated daily and paid monthly on the first business day of the next calendar month. Where the first day of the month isn't a business day, the interest will include any accrued up to (but not including) the first business day of the month. No interest is paid for any day when the balance is below the minimum balance requirements (i.e. $100).
Bonus Interest - interest paid in addition to the standard rate if no withdrawals are made within a qualifying 3-month period. If withdrawals are made, the qualifying 3-month period will reset on the first business day of the next month, if the balance is not below the $100 minimum requirement.
